Private lessons for family and sport dogs. Dog training in Ostrava and the surrounding area.
I specialize in addressing behavioral and training issues in both sport and family dogs. I’m happy to share my knowledge of modern dog training and teach you how to take control of your own training.
Most problems do not come from “disobedience”, but from the dog and the person speaking different languages. That is why I do not focus only on what the dog does, but above all on why it does it, what happens beforehand, how the person responds and what pattern this creates. Whether you are dealing with everyday life with your dog or sport goals, the aim is not to teach a few exercises. The aim is for your dog to understand what you want and for you to know how to guide them effectively.
I work with what I see in the real interaction: the dog’s motivation, mindset and limits, the way the handler leads them, and the dynamic between the two. Only then do I build a specific plan.
I use modern training principles not only with clients, but also when preparing my own dogs for dog sports and Mondioring.
I Teach Owners, Not Just Dogs
I help owners understand their dogs and learn how to work with them independently outside our training sessions.
From First Steps to Trials
Training follows a clear system and a long-term plan – from the basics all the way to sport preparation.
Long-Term Support
I do not focus only on individual lessons. I continue to support clients through the next stages of their training.

We have been training Mondioring with Jana regularly for a year and a half and I could not recommend her more. Her professional approach and knowledge are hard to find elsewhere. I definitely recommend her, not only for sport training. 😊

A huge thank you for helping our fearful pup. 🐶 Motorbikes, fireworks and thunderstorms are no longer nearly as stressful as they used to be. Great approach, lots of patience and, most importantly, visible progress. Highly recommended.

Jana is a great trainer that combines the NePoPo® system with her experience in sport and pet dog training. Together with her son Marco they gave me an invaluable help by teaching to my puppy the basics in obedience and bite work for sport. I recommend her for any aspect of training for your dog.

After a long search for the right trainer, I found Jana and it was definitely one of the best decisions I made. Her work caught my attention immediately and, based on my own experience, I can only recommend her. She truly knows what she is doing. Our Ady absolutely adores her and thanks to her we are making huge progress.

Jana’s professionalism is exceptional, her approach to coaching me is tailored to my actual needs given the situation that I have with my dog. Despite the difference in time zones, she has maintained a manageable and working schedule for our sessions. She maintains a line of constant communication, so that our progress is continuously developing, she is willing to answer all my questions despite her busy schedule, especially for me who is new with Mondioring and a first timer who ended up with a real working line breed, the dog is perfect for the sport but I have to learn the ways of properly dealing with a determined dog. Her knowledge of the sport and the dogs is highly acknowledge and appreciated, she knows her craft well and she has a skill of passing on the information without confusion and misunderstanding. I am from the Philippines and it feels like my trainer is just around the corner when I need her help

I would like to thank Jana for her great approach and for helping me train my dog. The sessions are always clear and professional. Thanks to her patience, my 20-month-old White Swiss Shepherd and I passed the BH-VT exam yesterday. She made training enjoyable for both of us and we will now prepare for further exams. Quido and I can definitely recommend Jana as a trainer. 😊

What Is Really Happening
We do not look only at what the dog is doing, but also why. We examine motivation, environment, handling and the situations in which the problem or unwanted behavior occurs.
02
Setting Rules & Communication
Every dog needs clear and understandable rules. We set up communication and training so the dog understands what is expected and the owner knows how to guide them.
03
Building New Habits
New behavior is not created in a single lesson. We gradually build skills that make sense for the individual dog and owner, creating habits that work in real life.
04
Independent Practice
Training does not end when the lesson is over. Real progress comes from everyday practice, so you will leave with clear direction you can follow without constant supervision.
NePoPo® is a modern training system created by trainers Bart Bellon and Michael Bellon. It is a comprehensive approach that improves communication between dog and handler and is built on learning principles proven by both science and practice. The goal is to develop a confident, resilient and active dog that understands what is being asked, enjoys working together and follows commands willingly rather than out of fear or pressure. NePoPo® works with the dog’s motivation, respects their needs and uses principles of operant conditioning, where correct behavior becomes rewarding in itself. The dog is not a passive follower of commands, but an active partner that thinks, offers behavior and seeks cooperation with the handler. The ultimate goal is not obedience alone, but enjoyment of the work, mutual understanding and a sense of success on both sides.
Frequently Asked Questions About Training
How Many Training Sessions Will We Need?
Every dog and owner is different, so the number of lessons cannot be determined in advance. Some situations can improve significantly after just a few sessions, while others require longer-term work. My goal is not to make you dependent on a trainer, but to teach you how to work with your dog independently.
Can Children or Other Family Members Take Part in Training?
Yes. If several people are involved in raising the dog, it is often an advantage for them to take part together. This gives the dog clearer and more consistent rules.
Do I Need Previous Experience?
No. The training is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced handlers. I explain everything step by step and adapt the pace and training method to the individual dog-handler team.
How Quickly Will I See Results?
The first changes are often visible after just a few sessions. Results always depend on regular practice, consistency and the individual abilities of both dog and handler.
What If I’m Not Interested in Dog Sports?
That is absolutely fine. Most clients primarily want a reliable dog for everyday life.
What If My Dog Has Behavioral Problems?
First, it is important to identify the cause – often stress, previous negative experiences, a health issue or insufficient ability to cope with certain situations. The solution is not punishment, but adjusting the environment, providing the right guidance and using gradual training that does not overwhelm the dog.
What If My Dog Has Had Bad Habits for Years?
How long the problem has existed is not the deciding factor – what matters is what you start doing now. Even deeply established behavior can change if it is no longer reinforced and is systematically replaced with new responses. Dogs live according to what is repeatedly happening today, not in the past. With long-term problems in particular, clear guidance, structure and consistency are essential; without them, the same behavior simply repeats. With the right approach, old patterns can gradually weaken and be replaced by more stable, calmer behavior.
