At first, I looked at dog training mainly from the sport perspective. Over time, however, I became increasingly interested in why dogs react in certain ways and in everything that influences their performance, motivation and cooperation with the handler.
This journey eventually led me to Mondioring – a sport combining obedience, protection work and endurance – and to the Belgian Shepherd Malinois. The combination of a highly demanding sport and a high-performance breed opened the door to deeper study of dog training and modern training approaches.
I am currently continuing my education in canine behavior and physiotherapy because I believe quality training is not only about performance, but also about understanding the dog as a whole – their mind as well as their physical condition. I aim to communicate both theoretical knowledge clearly and the practical experience I have gained over the years.
Marco
My son accompanied me to training sessions and seminars, where at first he was mostly bored or simply played. Gradually he became more interested in the sport itself, especially decoy work and the atmosphere at competitions, where talented young athletes inspired him.
That inspired him to try the role himself. At around eleven years old, he gradually began practicing decoy work within his abilities. He continued developing in this direction and today can work as a decoy with dogs at different levels.
He also trains dogs using shaping – which may come even more naturally to him than to me – and actively takes part in our board-and-train program. He has grown up surrounded by dog sports and the NePoPo® system, which he understands naturally and continues to improve in.
Because he had accompanied me to training from an early age before actively training himself, he became interested in the equipment used in dog training. Over time, this led him to design and develop his own tools. I now use these products in my training, and they have gradually spread among other trainers and dog owners abroad as well.

My Philosophy
My training is based primarily on the principles of the NePoPo® system, which emphasizes clear communication, motivation and a precise understanding of how dogs learn. My approach is built on structure, consistency and creating the right learning conditions so results are stable and repeatable.
I see training as a comprehensive process in which environment, timing, clear rules and the dog’s ability to understand individual situations all play a crucial role. It is therefore not only about individual exercises, but about building behavior in the context of everyday life.
Client education is also an important part of my work. I explain the principles and connections so clients understand why individual methods work and how to apply them correctly in practice.
Education
My main mentor became Hans Verbruggen, with whom I trained regularly in Belgium for several years. These intensive sessions gave me valuable practical experience in modern dog training.
Pierre Kembel from Sweden also had a major influence on me and showed me additional perspectives and approaches to working with dogs. I have also completed the NePoPo® Silver School and NePoPo® Gold School.
